Density Tracer Range
Density Tracers serve as tools for calibration of equipment operation on process plants and testing facilities where separation and concentration of valuable minerals such as diamonds, iron ore and coal is based on density differentials.
DG Lab Services provides a range of density tracers which are magnetically susceptible for ease of retrieval. The tracers are, however, also colour coded in accordance with density allowing for the traditional visual mode of recovery. In the shape of cubes; the densities available range from 1.20 – 4.20g.cm-3 in sizes 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, 5.0, 6.0, 8.0, 10.0, 12.0, 16.0, 18.0 and 20.0mm; with 0.8 and 1.0mm upon special request.

Magnetic Tracer Range
Magnetic Tracers are tools that assist in the setup of magnetic separators on process plants and testing facilities where separation and concentration of valuable minerals are based on magnetic susceptibility.
DG Lab Services current range of magnetic tracers is for Diamonds processing but easily customisable for any commodity in terms of density and magnetic susceptibility.
The magnetic tracers are in the shape of cubes and currently available in 3.53±0.03g.cm-3. The magnetic susceptibilities available range from 20 – 4000 x 10-6cm3.g-1 each of which is identified through their colour coding.
Each order is accompanied by a Certificate, assuring the end user of the quality of the manufactured product where:
Density Tracer Range – density tolerance is ±0.02g.cm-3
Magnetic Tracer Range – magnetic susceptibility is ±5%
Both Density Tracers and Magnetic Tracers – dimensions is ±0.1mm
